Neuropathy

Neuropathy refers to the damage or irregular functioning of a specific set of nerves that send messages from the brain, spinal cord, and central nervous system to the body. This condition typically causes numbness, tingling, weakness in the muscles, and discomfort in the affected region. Neuropathies are quite common, affecting up to 20 million people in the United States each year. To treat this condition, we first identify and then aim to treat the underlying cause. Sometimes, the origin is less treatable, so we instead administer symptomatic pain relief and take steps to avoid further damage.
